Adoption Process & Application
Our private size makes us a limited intake rescue, but we aim to expand and grow as we make way towards an official non-profit. Our capacity is primarily dependent upon our fosters as we strive to keep all animals in as homey of an environment as possible. It’s important to us to keep them as comfortable and stress free as possible.
Step 1.
Potential adopters are invited to apply for the animal(s) of their choice! We just require one application to be on file. All you have to do is click on the button above that's labeled "Adoption Application"! Then fill out the form and email it to us at tabuterracerescue@gmail.com. Your application demonstrates that you are genuinely interested in meeting an animal; nevertheless, it is not a legally binding contract. Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted.
Step 2.
We'll analyze your application and, if it's a good match, we'll arrange a "meet and greet." We will ask a variety of questions at the "meet and greet" to ensure you are a nice choice for the animal.
Step 3.
Once the "meet and greet" has been approved, we will request payment and send the adoption contract for signature. Each animal's adoption fee is listed on their individual listing. Adoption fees are non-negotiable. Vaccinations, FIV/feLeuk testing for kittens and cats, flea/tick preventative, microchip implant, de-worming, heartworm test for puppies and dogs, and spay/neuter operation are all included in the adoption price.
